Northwood's disappointing results still continue, having played the top three sides in the division recently, the Under 18s were swept away by a masterful display by Hayes & Yeading United.

United dominated possession early on and in this period Woods found themselves two goals down inside 20 minutes, both from Jake Lovell.

In fact, it could have been worse as in between there was time for a brilliant fingertip save by Ross Thompson, who diverted the ball onto the inside of the post and the danger was cleared.

Gradually the Woods started to get back into the game when Max Duffy's corner was met by Ryan Lee but his header from six yards just cleared the crossbar.

United created further chances, but half time came without any further additions.

Woods started the beginning of second half on top when Jake O'Meara curled a shot towards the top corner, only for the United goalkeeper to superbly claw the ball away one handed.

Woods’ hopes of any revival were dashed when United extended their lead on 51 minutes, Lovell competing an excellent hat-trick.

It wasn't long before United were to claim their fourth goal through Josh Andrew and they never let go, continuing to press in the last ten minutes and adding two more, both scored by Daniel Wishart.
